Tips on coping with hair loss
Hair loss can be scary sometimes, especially when you are a woman. However there are several ways to cope.6
Know that you are not alone:
It helps to know that hair loss is a normal phenomenon, up to a certain extent. Losing up to 100 hairs a day is considered to be normal by hair specialists.1 Also, the problem of increased hair loss is not an uncommon one. Share your stories with others and listen to others, and it will help you cope with this sensitive issue.6
Hair loss means different things to different people. However, the faster you accept it as an issue and find a way to deal with it, the better your chances of finding an effective solution.6
There is no miracle cure for hair loss. Let a hair specialist decide which treatment modality is suitable for you. Whichever the therapy offered to you, patience is the key to a successful outcome, especially since the hair growth or regrowth can take time.6
Support the health of your hair
Brush your hair well before washing it and if possible, use a mild shampoo that does not contain any parabens or colors. Work the shampoo into a lather in you palm first and not directly on your head. Rinse shampoo well and do not blow-dry your hair with a hot hair dryer but rather let it dry naturally. If you have long hair, wear it loose whenever possible and protect it against the sun.
